HANDMADE JEWELRY OF HISTORY AND CULTURE

Filigree is an ancient technique of weaving fine threads of silver or gold to make exclusive jewelry without the intervention of industrial processes or modern machinery. The making of a single piece of jewelry requires many hours of work, as they are a hundred percent handmade, and not mass-produced nor with the use of die casting.

The pieces come from Mompox, a picturesque region located in the northern region of Colombia where most craftsmen are steeped in this unique tradition, and have been for ages, and which has been declared a Heritage Cultural Site by UNESCO in 1995.
